I am a dog and cat groomer by trade & see a lot of problematic things when it comes to pets. Sadly, this was one of the worst cases of fleas I’ve seen on a dog in a long time. I know this video is very short but I wanted to share it to try and educate the public on the importance of keeping ur pets flea-free.

—Why should u worry?—
-Fleas this bad can actually make ur dog Anemic! They drink ur pet’s blooded for food. If you let it get to this point or beyond your pet is even in risk of death from blood loss!
(I am not a vet but I have learned this from my experience working along side vets)

—What do I do?—
-Flea prevention is key and the best way to do this is to get a monthly oral prescription from ur vet. Topical treatments such as Advantage or Frontline DO NOT WORK VERY GOOD! Fleas have evolved and have become immune to these products! Scary huh!?

-Giving them a flea bath will kill the fleas on ur pet, but there are fleas in ur house, yard, anywhere ur pets lives, so they’ll just end up jumping right back onto ur pet! You can speed up the process further by exterminating ur house and yard after u have given ur pet it’s treatment. (Obviously do not leave pet in house/yard while exterminating!)
